एक बार, भगवान इंद्र किसानों से परेशान हो गए, उन्होंने घोषणा की कि 12 साल तक बारिश नहीं होगी और किसान फसलों का उत्पादन नहीं कर पाएंगे। किसानों ने इंद्र से विनती की, जिन्होंने तब कहा, बारिश तभी संभव होगी जब भगवान शिव अपना डमरू बजाएंगे। लेकिन उन्होंने चुपके से भगवान शिव से इन किसानों से सहमत नहीं होने का अनुरोध किया।
जब किसान भगवान शिव के पास पहुँचे, तो उन्होंने वही बात दोहराई कि वे 12 साल बाद डमरू बजाएँगे। निराश किसानों ने 12 साल तक इंतजार करने का फैसला किया। लेकिन एक किसान नियमित रूप से खुदाई कर रहा था, मिट्टी में खाद डाल रहा था और बीज बो रहा था, यहां तक कि कोई फसल भी नहीं थी।
सभी किसानों ने उनसे पूछा कि आप अपना समय क्यों बर्बाद कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने जवाब दिया “मैं इसे” अभ्यास ” के रूप में कर रहा हूं। अगर मैं इसका अभ्यास नहीं करूंगा तो समय के साथ भूल जाएगा कि फसल कैसे पैदा करें? खेती कैसे करें?
” देवी पार्वती ने इसे सुना और उनके विचारों से प्रभावित होकर, उन्होंने भगवान शिव को आश्वस्त किया और किसानों की तरह कहा “आप 12 साल बाद डमरू खेलना भी भूल सकते हैं!” मासूम भगवान शिव डमरू बजाते हैं और डमरू की आवाज सुनकर तुरंत बारिश होती है और जो किसान नियमित रूप से खेत में काम कर रहे थे उनकी फसल तुरंत निकल गई जबकि अन्य लोग निराश थे।
यह अभ्यास है जो आपको संपूर्ण बनाता रहता है। इसलिए हम जिस भी व्यापार या पेशे में हैं, अपने कौशल को तेज करते रहें, जो हमारे पास है, उसके साथ अभ्यास करें, अपने कौशल को अपग्रेड करें।

Once, Lord Indra got upset with Farmers, he announced there will be no rain for 12 years & Farmrs won’t be able to produce crops. Farmers begged Indra , who then said , Rain will be possible only if Lord Shiva plays his Damru. But he secretly requested Lord Shiva not to agree to these Farmers.
When Farmers reached lord Shiva, he repeated the same thing that he will play Damru after 12 years. Disappointed Farmers decided to wait till 12 years. But one Farmer regularly was digging, treating & putting manure in the soil & sowing seeds even with no crop emerging. All Farmers asked him why are you wasting your time n energy. He replied “I’m doing it as a matter of “practice”. If i will not practice it then will forget with time how to produce crops ?how to do farming ?.
Goddess Parvati heard it and impressed by his thoughts, she convinced lord Shiva & said like farmers “You may also forget playing Damru after 12 years!” Innocent Lord Shiva play Damru & hearing the sound of Damru immediately there was rain and the farmer who was regularly working in the field got their crop emerged immediately while others were disappointed.
It is the practice which keeps on making you perfect.
So, let lock-down lift after 2 months or more, Whatever trade or profession we are in, keep sharpening our skills, practice with what we have, upgrade your skills.
